The Minnesota Timberwolves will travel to Chesapeake Energy Arena to face the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday, February 22nd at 8:00 PM ET. The Timberwolves are in desperate need of wins as the team is currently 7.5 games out of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference and trying to get back into the playoff race. The Oklahoma City Thunder are on a mini skid of their own having lost three straight and currently sit 3.5 games behind the San Antonio Spurs in the West.

Ucabet.co has set the Oklahoma City Thunder as 13 point home favorites. The total for Friday night’s game is currently sitting at 203.5 points.

In their most recent game, the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Philadelphia 76ers by a final score of 94-87. During that game, center Nikola Pekovic scored 27 points to go with 18 rebounds while forward Derrick Williams added 17 points and eight rebounds. The win over the 76ers was just Minnesota’s third in their last ten games. A dominant performance on the boards was a big reason why the Timberwolves were able to come away with the victory as Minnesota outrebounded Philadelphia by a 51-39 margin.

The Oklahoma City Thunder did not get off to the type of start after the all-star break that they had hoped for, losing 122-119 to the Houston Rockets on February 20th. During that loss, Oklahoma City was led by Russell Westbrook’s 28 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists while Thabo Sefolosha also scored 28 points to go with five rebounds. Forward Kevin Durant recorded a triple-double by scoring 16 points, grabbing 12 rebounds and recording 11 assists in one of his best games of the season.

However, in the end the Oklahoma City Thunder had no answer for their former teammate James Harden who scored 46 points and grabbed eight rebounds to go with six assists in the three point victory. The Thunder will have to improve dramatically on the defensive end of the court when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves if they hope to snap their three game losing streak.
